The company was founded in 2003 as the successor to ADR GmbH and specializes in automated systems for the duplication, labeling, packaging, and handling of digital storage media.

ADR AG develops and manufactures, among other things:

Automatic CD, DVD, and Blu-ray copying robots
USB, flash drive, and hard drive duplicators
Label printers and labeling machines
Packaging and cellophane wrapping machines
Industrial automation and robotics solutions
Solutions for medical data storage, particularly DICOM-compatible systems for the healthcare sector.

Market position

ADR is a leading European manufacturer of physical storage media and automated production systems. According to the company’s own information, it is particularly well known for its modular, fully automated copying robots used in industry, media, and healthcare.

ADR AG operates through several brands and business units, including:

ADR – a system for duplicating optical discs and other storage media
JMV Packaging – Packaging and Labeling Equipment
DICOM Disc – Medical Data Distribution Solutions
Mediaburn – services for disc production, printing, and packaging.

Production

The company manufactures most of its products at its own facility in Wiesloch, near Heidelberg, and markets them as “Made in Germany.” It also offers CNC machining and the manufacture of mechanical components through affiliated businesses.

The company focuses specifically on specialized machinery for copying, labeling, packaging, and medical information management, rather than on consumer electronics or general IT consulting.
